Champion blood for sale in eventing auction

On 1 October, the new collection of the eventing auction of foals through Belgian auction house ET Auction will go live. The auction, with the promising title of Dutch Eventing Stables Champions Edition 2021, will end on Tuesday 12 October, immediately after Boekelo. The organisation invites potential buyers to get in touch if they are interested in taking part in a syndicate.

"We still firmly believe that the best foals should stay in the Netherlands and Belgium", says initiator René van der Leest. "So, if buyers are interested in purchasing a foal together with us or with others, we really hope they'll phone us! Because there's plenty of potential here for riders and breeders who want to put down a good foundation for the future.

We can say in all certainty that we have an impressive amount of 'champion' in our auction. Three foals have already worn a champion's ribbon: offspring of Moreno Grove, Kasanova de la Pomme and Opium van de Moerhoeve. Kasanova de la Pomme himself became champion after a sizzling barrage in Zangersheide. Moreno Grove became champion of the four-year-olds. We have two offspring with Herald III, the fantastic breeding stallion that gives us champions in the young horse competitions. We have two descendants of the world-famous Van 't Verahof line. Now that, you can truly call a champions edition.

We've selected the very best foals in order to offer genuine quality for both eventing and showjumping riders. We offer proven sporting lines with generations of dams with sport predicates, combined with proven stallions. And the quality shows. So the auction is hugely interesting for breeders of eventing and showjumping horses alike."
