European Championships – Proven Bloodlines
At the recent European Championships, stallions that shone in the sport were the talk of the town. Among them was none other than Ermitage Kalone. The Catoki son, ridden by Gilles Thomas, claimed an individual bronze medal after securing the team gold earlier that week. For several years now, Ermitage Kalone has been one of the most sought-after names in both sport and breeding, and he continues to live up to his reputation.
His qualities are here paired with athletic genetics on the dam’s side. The young mare Helena du Pratel competes up to 1m35 under Italian colors and descends from a highly proven family. Her dam, Quina de Coquerie, produced no less than Ulana de Coquerie (1m60 with Alberto Zorzi) and Cash du Pratel (1m60 with Giacomo Bassi).
Delving further into this damline, we find Major de Coquerie, who competed at 1m60 with Kevin Staut and claimed multiple international victories. His half-siblings, including St. Lauren (Lauren Hough), Perfect de Coquerie, and Anouchka de Coquerie, also reached the highest level. More recently, the spotlight has turned again to this line with Emeraldo 4, currently successful at the top level under Laura Kraut.
