Chacco-Blue, Out of a 1m60 Performing Mare
The dam d’Ulien, by Thunder van de Zuuthoeve, competed for years at the very top level. First under Belgian colors, and later with none other than McLain Ward, Olympic Champion and former World No. 1. Towards the end of her career, she continued successfully under Venezuela’s Juan Ortiz.
In breeding, d’Ulien has already made her mark. Her first foal, Gomes 3, reached 1m60 with Italy’s Elena Codecasa, while her full sister Lorien van de Smeets competed up to 1m40 with Andrej Pavlovic.
The sire line, Thunder van de Zuuthoeve, has already produced legends such as HH Azur, Kalinka van ’t Zorgvliet, and Gunder. When these proven bloodlines are paired with none other than Chacco-Blue – the long-standing number one on the WBFSH sire ranking and sire of an Olympic Champion – expectations naturally rise sky-high.
